The Hatchet is a tool used to cut down trees in the game. It can also be used as a weapon, but it is not recommended to do so as its damage output is extremely low. The hatchet may also be used to break down level 1 walls, doors, and windows.
Crafting Requirements
Unlock:
- None. Available at the start of the game.

Durability
It will take *50 hits to break a hatchet. That means you can successfully cut down 12 and a half trees, as each one needs 4 hits.
*Tested with pine trees, number may be different when used as a weapon.
The durability rate when destroying structures is 1 Hatchet per wall, window, or door.
Recycling
On the Recycler, a Hatchet can be recycled into Pine Log and Limestone in 10 minutes and 1 second at an appropriate level of Melee Weapons recycling skill.
